Multi-Campus Church, Multi-Campus Prayer: Federal Way
Two new Mars Hill campuses start this weekend. Yesterday we gave you some ideas on how to pray for Mars Hill Albuquerque, and today Pastor Samuel Choi provides info and prayer requests for our Federal Way congregation.
By Samuel Choi, Federal Way Campus Pastor
I began my journey of church planting in 2007 with three questions that convicted me:
- What does gospel-centered ministry look like?
- What does it mean to be missional?
- What does evangelism look like where I live?
I believe that Mars Hill Federal Way is the answer to the questions I raised and the prayers I requested. Now that we’re on the cusp of our official launch, pray with us that our new campus would be a blessing to the diverse communities in Federal Way by being based and centered on:
- The Story of God: Mars Hill Federal Way is a continuation of the powerful declaration of the gospel in biblical faith.
- The Mission of God: Mars Hill Federal Way is an expression of the dynamic demonstration of the gospel in biblical living.
- The Community of God: Mars Hill Federal Way is the multiplication of the faithful disciples of the gospel in biblical community.
We are also praying for…
Leadership Development
- Hiring an administrative staff who would be responsible for campus operations.
- Recruiting, training, and deploying community group leaders.
Community Development
- Multiplication of community groups in Federal Way and its neighboring cities.
- Maturing community groups that are growing in the gospel and participating in the mission of the gospel.
Facility Development
- Preparation of initial services at a local middle school
- Securing a permanent location for services
We are all very excited to launch this campus! Please continue to pray that our focus is solely upon Jesus, that we might reflect his glory!
