Feeding Military Families – Generous #8

Fisher House provides lodging for the families of veterans receiving care at VA hospitals around the country.

Since December, one of our community groups from the Ballard campus has been providing periodic meals for the families staying at the South Seattle Fisher House, while at the same time getting to know them, praying for them, and listening to their stories.

With the help of the MicroMission fund, the community group will be able to provide a few extra meals this year. One such meal took place at the end of February, when the group fed upwards of fifty people.

“Our community group has been privileged to meet several couples facing the end of life,” reports one Mars Hill member, “and we have witnessed the beauty of love in their final days together. We have also met people facing huge health issues and have seen how we rely on faith and each other. Thank you Mars Hill for helping us in this ministry.”
